Click on the boxes below to view the individual primary records and my current understanding of them.  Better yet, help me translate and figure out what it all means.  There is much to do.

I was first led to look in Aindling, Bavaria because my 4G Grandfather Joseph Helfer was born there before he left for Todtenweis to found the large family (still living) there. The sacremental records from a number of small villages were kept in Aindling. Church records from Aindling permit a reconstruction of the genealogy and movements of the Helfer family in this area in the early 17th to the 18th centuries.  I found baptismal records of Helfers in the village of Bach as early as 1628 with at least three families (this is one) having children before 1650. Look here for a general discussion of the Earliest Helfer Church Records from Aindling.) Here are the other two families.
