Helfers lived in Bach in some numbers from at least the earliest 1600s. As the sons of Michael and Apollonia came of marriageable age, they left Bach for surrounding villages. To learn this, I had to follow my ancestors backwards from Affing where my GGG Grandmother Creszenz married Leonhard Bayerl. The dates are when the individuals married for the first time. I am unaware of any Helfers other than the descendants of Joseph who went to Todtenweis. Hopefully this map and web site may help some other Helfers to find and contact us.
